★Death of David Kelly

鋭敏な藝術家は時代の闇を客観的に掬い取り、単純化して示してくれる。Turner prize 2010の作品群には、理由なき侵略戦争-イラク戦争への静かな憎悪と批評性が漂ってゐる、と言っておこうか。上は2003年に「自殺」したDavid Christopher KellyについてのDexter Dalwoodの作品。実際は多量の薬物を服用しナイフで手首を切ったが、suicideについてはJapaneseのimageで象徴化されてゐる。つまり。。dark side of the moon. . .David Christopher Kellyがどんな人物か、なぜ月が歪められてゐるか?真意について多くは語るまい。批判者は危険と背中合わせ。藝術とは闇の奥に蠢く顔を嗅ぎ取るものだから。でもこれが我々の生きているLe Mondeなのだ。p.s.この日本画的な様式美は、アッバス・キアロスタミの映画「桜桃の味」で描かれる死生観に通低するやうに思う。
